My practice has long centered around the image of the pond. Yet what I engage with is not a depiction of a specific landscape, but a way of perceiving the world.

On the surface of water, light, reflections, and ripples are in constant transformation—without fixed form or stable boundaries. In this state, viewing is no longer a passive act of looking, but an experience intertwined with time, memory, and inner perception.

For me, the pond functions as a generative field.Each element within the composition interacts, shifts, and evolves—much like the world we inhabit: continuously changing, yet momentarily arriving at a fragile balance.

Within this series, the real and the illusory, light and shadow, stillness and disturbance coexist.They are not opposites, but interdependent conditions that reflect the nature of life itself. Therefore, my work is not about representing a pond, but about opening a space—where the viewer may encounter themselves, and reconsider their relationship with the world.
